  • Shipping Policy

For shipping, I utilize re-used packing material donated from local business in order to keep shipping/packaging costs as low as possible for you, and, at this time, I do not offer gift wrapping.

Shipping costs are estimated for you at checkout. Costs are dependent upon the specific weight and size of your item, as well as the distance the package has to travel to arrive at its destination. As ceramic items are very fragile, and heavy, they require a lot of packaging, this can result in shipping costs that may be higher than your average postage. While I do my best to ensure that your order will arrive safely, shipping is out of my hands once it has been processed by Canada Post.

Once your order has been processed by Canada Post, Canada post is responsible for it's delivery. All Canada Post orders are automatically protected with an insurance covering up to $100 CAD. Lost or stolen packages are rare but can happen, and Apothecary Pottery is not responsible for lost or stolen packages. I will not offer refunds for lost or stolen packages, but please notify Canada Post if you have not received your package after it has been delivered.

  • Return & Exchange Policy

I do not accept returns or exchanges for both custom and non-custom orders. But if you are dissatisfied with your product, please contact me (with photos!) within: 14 days of delivery.

Due to the fragile nature of pottery, I will do my best to ensure that your product does not break during the shipping process, but please contact me (with photos!) within 14 days of delivery if your product arrived damaged.

All of my product is microwave safe, and in some cases, top-rack dishwasher safe. However, I recommend that you hand wash all ceramic pieces. Never place your ceramic piece in the oven or the freezer. Any standard wear and tear from general use (e.g. scratches, fading, chips, cracks) are not applicable for refunds or exchanges. As it is recommended that you hand wash your ceramic pieces, (see Care Instructions), any damages that occur from washing in a dishwasher are not subject to refunds or exchanges.

  • Care Instructions

All of my ceramic pieces are made with multiple functionalities in mind. This means, that once your candle has burned through, you can reuse and repurpose your ceramic ware for a variety of purposes, including food. For that reason, all of my ceramics are food safe and all of my ceramic glazes are lead free. All pottery is microwave safe, and top-rack dishwasher safe however hand washing is recommended as the high temperatures of the dishwasher can dull the finish of the glaze and can result in cracks or chips in the piece.

It is also recommended that when you pour hot or cold liquids into your ceramic pieces, you gently warm up or cool down the pieces so as to not "shock" the ceramic into cracking.

Apothecary Pottery is not responsible for any injuries from everyday use or misuse of ceramics.
